Every year, approximately 400 students graduate from Pitt’s School of Computing and Information. These 400 spread their knowledge, experiences, and insight across a variety of platforms: the internet, clubs, classmates, etc, but most end up getting lost in the crack. This year, a few of Pitt CS’s finest came together to bring together this collective wisdom.

Introducing the Pitt CS Wiki (https://www.pittcs.wiki).

The Pitt CS Wiki is an online collection of academic help, career advice, course testimonials, and more, all written by current and former Pitt CS students who share the same goal of imparting their collective wisdom to the next generation in order to better equip them for their future at Pitt and in the CS industry.

📈 Career Accelerator

With the release of the Pitt CS Wiki also comes the announcement of Zero to Offer, a seminar series created by Pitt CS students for CS students of all backgrounds to learn the interview process of the tech industry through lectures, mentorship, mock interviews and exclusive networking opportunities.

All the material for Zero to Offer is now freely available on the wiki, allowing students to kickstart their tech career whenever they are ready to.

📓 Breadth and Depth of Information

Many of Pitt’s most distinguished students have written insightful guides on a wide variety of topics. Current guides include tips and guides for incoming freshmen, making a personal website, and a primer on the trading industry.

🏫 Rich Course Exploration

Students can now easily plan their CS coursework through the CS Wiki’s course exploration pages. On these pages, students will find helpful graphs to understand pre-reqs, course testimonials from previous students, and filter controls to help students plan their semesters.
