On April 29, 2021, and May 2, 2021, The University of Pittsburgh’s School of Computing and Information held its ceremonies commencing graduation for undergraduates and graduate students. We are proud to recognize some members of the graduating class!
Brandon He graduated with his Bachelors of Science in Computer Science. His plans after Pitt include moving to Seattle and start work as a SWE at Microsoft. He’s looking forward to growing as a developer and also as a person once things go “back to normal.” Some of the things he will miss at Pitt are being with friends all…
Happy New Year Everyone! The E-board team decided to expand the team to have more students participate in the logistics to Pitt CSC. We are excited to have them on board and introduce them to the world.
First up is Courtney Sheridan, our Outreach Director! She is a freshman planning to major in Computer Science! One place she would love to travel to is Alaska because it’s one of the few states she hasn’t be too (a traveler!) and it looks beautiful.

These changes can be worrisome to any employee, regardless of the industry they are in, as they begin to wonder if the skills they have now are useful or not to the future of work.
In truth, technological skills will be the defining factor of future employees. With that in mind, a lack of tech skills now does not necessarily mean an employee is useless to the future workforce. …

Why Did you Want to Become an Officer?
He originally became an officer because he wanted to pay back the help he received from the CS community. During his freshman year, a lot of upperclassmen helped…

What is your involvement at Pitt like?
He is involved as a board member on the Pitt Challenge Hackathon Committee…
The Meet the Team blog series is CSC’s initiative to introduce our team to the rest of the world. Today, we are introducing our Director of Initiatives Richie, a sophomore pursuing a Computer Science degree.
Richie grew up in Newtown, Pennsylvania, a really (really) boring suburb outside of Philadelphia. One fun fact about him is that he is really into game development and video games in general. When he was in high school and had more time, he would often be programming custom game engines. …
Pitt’s largest CS-related student organization. Proudly pushing the boundaries on what it means to be a Pitt student.
